The Prairie Turfgrass Research Center (PTRC), in collaboration with its partners and supporters, would like to announce a new joint educational event coming to Olds College this August called “Turf Under Research Field Day” or ‘T.U.R.F. Day’ for short.

The registration process has begun for the 69th annual conference of the Northwest Turfgrass Association, set this year for Oct. 4-6 at the famed Coeur d’Alene Resort in Idaho. Dr. Karl Danneberger from The Ohio State University will be the featured speaker, and will give presentations on shade issues and disease control.

As you make your travel plans for the Oct. 5 -7 Northwest Turfgrass Association meeting at Chambers Bay, save time on October 7 for lunch and a First Green workshop. Provided by NTA and First Green, this free workshop is on October 7 from 12:30 pm to 2 pm and will include lunch.

The 7th Annual VIGSA MS Fundraiser and Professional Development Days will take place November 19-20, 2014 at the Royal Oak Golf Club. The speaker line-up is a great one with 7 CEC points confirmed.
