Patrick Dooley was a very successful Student Athlete whose true passion was golf. A member at Mayfair Lakes, Pat had hoped to pursue a career in a Turf Management, starting with a KPU Turf diploma.

Oddly, we haven't receive any student award applications at this point and the clock is ticking with just one week to deadline. Everybody usually likes free money so we're scratching our heads a little here! Get on it turfies, we're talking about an award up to $2500 and a free WCTA membershp for the year!

I grew up in Williams Lake, BC. I didn’t play golf or really any sports for that matter. I tried soccer, basketball, and other organized sports but never really felt like I fit in. At ten, I discovered guitar and have been playing ever since. Growing older, I enjoyed mountain biking, hiking, and camping. This is where my love for the outdoors developed.
Winter has finally arrived in Alberta, marking the end of our summer internships. Under the cover of snow, they are enjoying a well deserved break! For those continuing to the degree, no rest for the wicked as they begin their 8 week online courses between November and Christmas.

The Western Canada Turfgrass Association is offering MONETARY AWARDS to students enrolled in an accredited Turfgrass Management Program or equivalent. You could be awarded up to $2500.00 for an Outstanding Application. Fine print: award amounts will be based on number and quality of applications.
