Would You Dig a Hole for the University of Minnesota Turfgrass Science Department?

Winter is QUICKLY on its way and the researchers at the University of Minnesota Turfgrass Science department are starting the #WinterTurf data collection for 2023-2024. They are looking for more Superintendents willing to participate in the study from across Canada.

Participation requires the installation of a data collection device on a golf course green (requires 2 cup-cutter sized holes and a pole) and collection of winter weather data (snow depth, observations of ice/water) over the winter season.

This research will help us to learn about mitigating winter stress and supports the future of sustainable turf management in Canada.
