WCTA 2012 Turfgrass Research Update
“The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.” — Henry Miller
from Jerry Rousseau
Over the last few years, we’ve opted out of printing a separate turfgrass research report realizing a savings of close to $15,000 in that time. It’s a smart move by the Board as we’ve seen a decline in dollars earmarked for research and it’s provided some time to figure out a new approach toward sourcing additional funding.

The Travelling Annual Road Show or TARS as it's known to WCTA members, is a series of educational events that take place throughout the regions of BC each summer. Often these talks are CEC point accredited but frequently topics range far beyond pesticide use. Talsk have ranged from sprayer nozzle selection and calibration to using trained dogs to chase geese to errant golf ball liability to sustainable management practices and everything in between.
After 18 years of service as the WCTA Executive Assistant, Viola Freer and her family have relocated to Prince George for a new position her husband Roger has taken.
