BCLNA Announces Change in COO

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you of a significant change in our leadership team.

As of November 1, 2023, Virpi Kangas has stepped down from her role as Chief Operating Officer. We want to take this opportunity to thank Virpi Kangas for her valuable contributions in stepping in after Hedy Dyck had to step down and in getting our administrative systems in order.

We are pleased to announce that Coreen Rodger Berrisford will be taking over the role of Chief Operating Officer. Coreen has a proven track record of leadership and strategic vision, and we have the utmost confidence in her ability to lead our operations effectively.

Coreen has been working with BCLNA over the past year as Grower and Grower/Retail Coordinator. She comes to us with four years experience as the General Manager of the BC Cranberry Marketing Commission and United Flower Growers Cooperative Association, Executive Director of Industry Association Activities. She also brings in depth experience in funding and connections in the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

During this transition, we will continue to serve our members. Our team is working diligently to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities.

If you have any questions or concerns during this transition, please do not hesitate to reach out to Coreen or myself.

We thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our shared vision.

Sincerely,

Paula Baxter, Chair
Board
