Coquitlam, B.C. (Golf Canada) – A world-class 156 player field, including 15 Canadians, as well as 48 of the top-50 players on the LPGA’s Official Money List are set to challenge The Vancouver Golf Club in Coquitlam, B.C. August 23-26 for the $2 million (US) 2012 CN Canadian Women’s Open.

Over the past 3 years there has been a tremendous amount of work accomplished on the Pesticide issue by AGA-BC and its member representatives. The WCTA and its Executive Director shouldered much of the initial work but it became very apparent that this issue was going to need the full participation of all the member organizations involved in the business of golf to truly have an impact.

The Canadian Tour opening tournament just got a little ‘greener’. Host course for the 29th annual Times Colonist Island Savings Open, Uplands Golf Club in Victoria, B.C., has recently achieved designation as a ‘Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary’.

The Falls Golf Club got back into the swing with a "soft" opening of the hillside golf course on Saturday, July 13. "We have built an incredible team to bring life back to the course and provide memorable golfing experiences," Jamie Baxter, general manager at the Golden Eagle Golf Club in Pitt Meadows, said in a July 12 news release.
