Oregon Bus Tour to World's Grass Seed Capital

14.03.17-Premier.Pacific.Seeds.logoDear WCTA Members,

We are proud to announce a turfgrass specific educational field tour this summer 2014. The tour will take place in the grass seed capital of the world, Oregon’s Willamette Valley, where the majority of the world’s cool season turf-grasses are grown. Professional turfgrass experts will be in attendance such as Leah Brilman, PhD from Seed Research among others, who will present on the next generation of turfgrasses and topics such as soil fertility and plant health. A significant incentive to attend this trip is that six Continuing Education Credits (CECs) will be available.

The bus tour will also visit first class seed laboratories such as Oregon State University and seed cleaning and harvesting operations on some of Oregon’s largest seed farms. Many turf managers and industry professionals from around the province will attend, creating an excellent environment to compare notes and improve operations. To wrap up the tour we will stop at the renowned Safeco field in Seattle- one of the top stadiums in Major League Baseball, to take in a baseball game against the New York Yankees. We are working on taking a private tour of Safeco field earlier in the day.

This comprehensive professional development tour is a great opportunity to collaborate with industry peers and experts from around the province and the Pacific North-West to directly benefit your operations while furthering your professional working knowledge.
