CEC Points Awarded for BC Sports Field Training Day

BC M.O.E. has awarded 0.75 IPM points for the presentation titled, ‘Biotechnology Solutions to Reduce Reliance on Traditional Fertilizers and Pesticides’ by Dale Overton of Overton Environmental Enterprises, taking place at the BC Sports Field Training Day on Wednesday, October 2nd at South Surry Athletic Park.

The upcoming event, hosted by the City of Surrey and co-produced by Sports Turf Canada and the Western Canada Turfgrass Association, includes two morning education sessions, a laser levelling clinic, BBQ lunch provided by ICONIX Waterworks, supplier trade show with more than 20 companies exhibiting and multiple afternoon demonstration stations.

Anne Baliva, Sports Turf Canada Executive Director explained, “It’s an opportunity for all field maintenance staff including groundskeepers, operators, technicians, supervisors and parks department managers, to learn from experts about industry trends, new products and services, connect with others in the industry, understand field maintenance best practices and find out more about the latest products, services and equipment.”

All sportsturf management, golf and parks staff are welcome to attend!  WCTA/STC members receive a discount with the rate extended to anyone from your facility.
