WCTA Conference All Under One Roof in Penticton, BC - Feb 16-18, 2022
Release…July 5, 2021
Catering to professional golf and sportsturf managers and the turf management industry, the Western Canada Turfgrass Association Board of Directors is pleased to announce our 59th Annual Conference and Trade Show will take place live and in-person, all under one roof at the Penticton Lakeside Resort in Penticton, British Columbia, February 16-18, 2022.
With extensive new construction and renovations, the Penticton Lakeside Resort has added luxurious new rooms and replaced their casino with a stunning banquet hall overlooking Okanagan Lake, a perfect place to host our turf industry trade show. With over 200 deluxe rooms and suites in total, plenty of meeting space and of course amenities like the Barking Parrot and Hooded Merganser, the decision wasn’t difficult to book this amazing venue for our 59th Annual Conference and Trade Show.
For 2022, you can expect a wide-ranging turf management supplier and service provider trade show, specialized pre-conference seminars and a first-class education program covering multiple sectors of turf management. Social and networking events are being planned with further details coming later.
“Penticton is a great town and a familiar place to many of our members,” stated WCTA President Gary Bartley. “We love that we can hold our conference under one roof at the Penticton Lakeside Resort and look forward to welcoming turf managers from across western Canada to the BC interior. If you have not been to Penticton, it’s definitely an event you won’t want to miss!”
Event planning is just getting started and further information will be released when available. WCTA Executive Director Jerry Rousseau reflected, “We had an amazing run at the River Rock but traditionally, the show has moved around the province and the Board felt it was time for a change of scenery. It’s hard to imagine a better change, especially after being force to cancel last year and it will be great to be back in Penticton!”
